Originally, I purchased a complete unit from another retailer. It worked fine until I needed a new probe. I found Taylor online, and they had an exact probe that works well with my original unit. I tried it out and it works exactly like the original. Ordering was easy from the Taylor web site. and customer service was very helpful also. Recommend Taylor for anyone looking for cooking thermometer, or other kitchen items
